Getting Here

When arriving in the White Sands Missile Range area, the nearest major airport is the Alamogordo-White Sands Regional Airport which is located about 35 miles from the base. Other nearby airports include the El Paso Airport. If soldiers arrive at the El Paso Airport, call the Military Assistance Desk in the arrival terminal and an Army Representative will have Staff Duty pick you up and transport you to White Sands Missile Range to begin in-processing. If arriving by car from the Alamogordo-White Sands Regional Airport, take Highway 70 W. Proceed about 47 miles to the missile range exit labeled Headquarters just after mile marker 172. Take Highway 70 onto Owen Road to the main gate which is approximately three miles after the exit.
